Mental health research

According to the Mental Health Foundation, suicide caused one death every two hours. Understanding and prevent suicide is one of the major research topic for the mental health researchers.

GATE, together with King’s College and South London and Maudsley Hospital, is also involved in suicide ideation research. We provide text analysis tools (such as suicide ideation classification, occupation/relation extraction and negation detection) to analyse large quantity of mental health patient electronic records which accelerate the sampling and analysis speed for mental health research.
